Day At The Beach!

Hello!

This isn't going to be a wordy blog post, as me describing the whole day would probably be quite boring! Yesterday (Friday 16th of August 2013 for those of you who are reading it in the future) my family and I drove to Talacre beach in North Wales. We've been there before and loved it :D It's really easy for us to get to as it's only an hour and a half drive! We spent most of the day at the beach but also went to get some Fish & Chips for lunch :D I haven't done much this summer so I really enjoyed spending time there with my family :) I'm going to upload some pictures that were took there (Sorry for the bad quality in some of the pics as some of them were taken on my Iphone). 

Btw, I have used photo editing software on 2 pictures. The first being the one above, I've used software to make the colours bolder and to add text as well as a shadow border. I'll point out the other edited one in its caption. Sorry for editing I just wanted to make some of the pictures a bit more interesting :)

Also, apologies for some of the weird pictures! I don't know why I was pulling those faces :D

There's a Snugbury's near us (Its a place that sells realllllyy nice Ice Cream!) and they always build these huge straw sculptures, this time it was a Dalek and because we passed it I had to share it with you :D 

This is the only other one I've used photo editing on. It was the view from the car whilst we were driving through the hills towards the sea :D

It was so peaceful reading on the beach...

This is my absolute favourite picture! I haven't edited this at all. I took it whilst I was having a walk through the shallow area of the sea :) The sun was going down and reflected off the water, I am so pleased with this picture, I think its stunning :D

TK Maxx Haul!

Hello!

I've re-written this post quite a few times as I can't seem to word it right, so what I'm going to do is tell the short version of the story so that I can get straight to the haul :D

On Saturday my parents and I went to our local retail park to visit Currys/PC World. My birthday is this Sunday and I still haven't decided on what I would like (sad face). Whilst there, we popped in to the TK Maxx store close by :D I don't know why, but they had a lot more stock then they usually do so I was very excited to have a look!

I found a Cardigan, Jumper and Leather-Look Jacket that I thought were fantastic. After trying them on, my parents offered to buy them for me! My dad also bought some electronic weighing scales (for humans) and a pack of biscotti biscuits (I love them). Sadly the biscuits didn't last for more than a few minutes when we got home so I can't include a picture, but the rest is still around :D

PS. It is me in the pictures I just thought my facial expression was weird so I decided to crop it.

I was really excited to get this as I've been looking for a nice cardigan for quite a while. The great thing about cardigans, jackets etc is that you can layer different clothing to make it look completely unique and personal to your own style. 

I love the design of this, the stripes stop where the sleeves begin and because of the band of navy where the buttons are the whole cardigan contrasts in a great way. This is in TK Maxx for £16.99 but that won't be its RRP.

This jumper is incredibly soft and is a gorgeous blue colour. Because it's got quite a short v-neck it's ideal for wearing on it's own. However, I think that I'll probably layer it with maybe a snood or jacket when I wear it. This is in TK Maxx for £19.99 but again that won't be it's RRP.

This was the most expensive item as it was bought for £39.99 (not it's RRP). I never thought I was the type of person to wear a leather or leather-looking jacket, but I love this :D It's not leather but certainly looks it, the jacket has lots of pockets and always keeps me warm. Plus, it's not bulky so it doesn't make me look big,

The scales! My dad bought these for £9.99 (bargain!). I love the Union Jack design, and they work really well.

I hope this haul/post wasn't too bad. I don't know why but I've really struggled writing this :(

Random Wishlist!

Hey!

So I've decided to do a random wishlist post as I'm really craving a few items right now and I thought it might be cool to share them with you :)

1) Canon Camera= Right now I really want a camera like this, I do have a digital camera but the pictures it takes don't compare to the photos these cameras take. My July Favourites Post is a perfect example of how good the photos are! Alas, the cheapest I can find these stunners are about £280 and I definitely cannot afford that right now (sad face).

2) Laptop= I've asked for one for my Birthday next week (18th of August!) (Overly excited face!) as right now I blog on the family computer and I spend so much time writing and editing blog posts/the blog itself and tweeting etc that I tend to annoy other family members who'd like to get on the computer (I'm talking about you mum). I'm really looking forward to having my own laptop as I'm excited to being able to blog from anywhere and write posts in my garden (this weathers too good to miss!) (Cliche, I know).

3) Nicky Clarke Frizz Control Hair Dryer= My mum recently got one of these from Boots and even though I was using her old one, I tried this and I don't think I'll be able to go back to the old one. This one is quiet, professional, high quality and works extremely well (all of which the old one is not).

4) Paco Rabanne 'Invictus' Fragrance= Words can't describe how much I want this fragrance. It smells phenomenal (I don't use that word lightly). However, It currently RRP's for around £40 for 50 ml which I can't afford right now (sadder face). Hopefully though, It'll go down in price soon (fingers crossed), It's a brand new fragrance so It's bound to be expensive.

5) ZARA Mens Long Sleeved T-Shirts= I got this grey one myself (apologies for the bad photography) not long ago and I can't tell you how much I love it! I only bought it because it was £5-£6 in a ZARA sale and I thought...why not? It feels great quality and is perfect for the summer. It may be a long sleeved t-shirt but It's reallyyyyy light so I don't get hot at all when wearing it. Also, It's perfect for a really simple outfit cause I could pair it with boots, skinny dark jeans, and a snood and it'll look stylish and smart! (See OOTD Post). Although, I haven't been able to find it in other ZARA stores and I think they might have stopped selling it (horrendously sad face).

July Favourites!

So I've decided to 'try' and do monthly favourites posts. The reason I wrote try like that, is because I don't tend to go through products really fast and so I don't want to promise these monthly favourites posts if say one month I haven't got anything to blog about!

Beauty

I got this a while ago but stopped using it, but this month I started again! I bought this in a Boots 3 for 2 deal with some other Umberto Giannini products. My hair is really thick and because of my hairstyle I have to use products like this to make it lighter. 'Sex Bomb Massive Mousse' is used to give your hair more bounce and volume, which is exactly what it does! I started using this product again this month and I have been loving it! It smells incredible, feels luxurious and works! What else can you ask for? 

Again, old product! I got this from a friend last Christmas. I used it constantly when I first got it but started using new fragrances I had each time I got a new one (as you do). However, one day I randomly sprayed this and I fell in love with it again. Once the scent has settled it smells fantastic :D

I've already blogged about these products and have tweeted about them a lot! These products are incredible...seriously! They have changed my skin for the better and I now have much clearer skin that feels hydrated but not oily, perfect for this weather!

When I can get travel sized versions of products I always do! I prefer to try before I buy. So just using a cheaper, smaller product is ideal for me. I heard about this product through Tanya Burr (I can't remember whether it was in a Blog or Vlog) and bought it as soon as I saw it! I've heard from lots of people that you should moisturise after having a shower, but I never bother to! This is great as It's really quick to use, all you have to do is spray it on to your skin and it's done! This works really well and makes your skin super-hydrated, one thing I will say is that when it's on your skin if you rub it in it goes a bit weird and if you leave it on your skin it can take a while to dry!

I got this a really long time ago! At first I wasn't keen on this product, It didn't go into my hair well and didn't style it well. However! After another hair styling product ran out, I had to use this until a replacement came. It's still a thick clay and isn't easy to apply but once it's in my hair and I start using a hair-dryer to style, it works wonders! (Although it's RRP is about £11 eek!).

This might seem a little random but in other monthly favourites I've seen them include books and I just had to include this! After I started watching the TV series adaptation I really wanted to read the book. So luckily there was one copy at my local library, I'm currently over 300 pages in and I am loving it! It's such a good book and I recommend anyone and everyone watch the TV series and read the books! (Yes I said books, the TV series is 3 whole books into 10 episodes!).
